National Herpes Events and Local and Regional Herpes Events
Most major cities in the USA have their own local Herpes Social Groups, some with hundreds or thousands of members. These groups are usually run completely by unpaid volunteers and social events are organized frequently by regular members who have an idea for an event or activity and post it to the group’s calendar.
Many regional and local Herpes and/or HPV social groups also put on large annual or bi-annual “National Events” so that people with herpes can travel to a new city and make new H friends, see the sights, and have a great vacation. Some of the places that have large annual “National Events” include Texas (Friends Over Texas), the Pacific Northwest (West Coast Frenz), St. Petersburg (FL) and Indianapolis. Other regions, like California, have large weekend or multi-day events like the Annual Lake Tahoe Ski Trip in winter and the Annual Yosemite Trip in summer, which are not necessarily billed as “National Events” but which attract attendees from all over the country and international as well.
If your herpes social group has an event that you’d like to list on this site, please send us the information and links and we’ll try to post it here. The main requirements are that your event 1) is a large weekend or multi-day event and 2) you have hotel rooms or campsites or other accomodations available for out-of-town guests. If your event is only 1 day and does not have organized overnight accomodations (i.e. hotel rooms or campsites), then it won’t be listed here under National Events.
